What do we need to bring on our trip?
You will want to bring whatever food and drinks you will want while we are offshore. Other ideas might be sunscreen (we prefer not to have spray sunscreen onboard as it will stain our cushions), hats, sunglasses, and if needed jacket or sweatshirt. We do recommend bringing a cooler so we have a place to put all of your fillets at the end of the trip.
What types of trips do you offer?
We offer 4,5,6,8,10 and 12 hr trips. We are able to take care of every experience level of fisher person from someone who has never been to the most seasoned angler wanting to target their bucket list species.
What do we do if the weather is bad on the day of our charter?
We will absolutely not force anyone to go offshore on bad weather days. We want you to have a great time out there so in the event that weather is a factor, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule and move your trip to a nicer day.
How do you handle payment for our charter?
We take various types of payments including, cash, credit cards (there’s a 3% service charge), Zelle, and Venmo.
What happens to our catch when we get back to the dock?
Your fish will be professionally filleted, labeled and bagged up for your group.
How can I leave a gratuity for the crew?
The crew works hard for you and gratuities are very appreciated. Cash is great but if you would like to add it to your credit card that we can handle that for you also. Generally around 20% gratuity is normal, but just like any service this is based on our performance.
Is the boat safe?
Absolutely, safety is our number one priority. Our vessels carry well over and above what the United States Coast Guard requires us to have, including, life vests all equipped with lights, and whistles, throwable life ring, life raft, Epirb, Satellite phone, Satellite texting device, VHF radio and XM satellite weather. We maintain our vessels with an open checkbook, and routine maintenance is a very important component with our crew.
Are there any restaurants that will cook our catch close by?
Yes, there are quite a few local places that will cook your fillets close by. It’s a great way to end your fishing trip.
How long has Fintastic Fishing Charters been in business?
Capt. Steve started Fintastic in the late 90’s and has been running full time ever since.
